- It's chain-driven, so there's no scheduled belt replacement, but a rattle for a second or two on a cold start points to a stretched chain or tensioner, which is a real bill. Listen on the test drive.
- By this mileage the brake fluid, coolant and transmission fluid should already have been replaced. Ask for the bills, not just a verbal yes.
- At around 13 years old, the rubber and electrics matter as much as the engine, perished hoses and bushes, a tired AC compressor, and rust in the sills, wheel arches and boot floor.
Where to look hardest on a Maruti Ritz
