What to check on this one at 34,405 km
- At 34,405 km the schedule has already called for: brake fluid, spark plugs. Ask to see the bills.
- At about 12 years old, rubber and electrics matter as much as the engine: hoses, bushes, the AC compressor, and rust in the sills and boot floor.
- CVT: listen for a whine as speed rises and feel for a surge or slip under acceleration. Ask when the CVT fluid was last changed; these gearboxes depend on it.
