What to check on this one at 1,60,000 km
- At 160,000 km the schedule has already called for: brake fluid, coolant. Ask to see the bills.
- On a diesel, have the turbo, the injectors and (where fitted) the DPF checked: those are the expensive failures.
- At about 15 years old, rubber and electrics matter as much as the engine: hoses, bushes, the AC compressor, and rust in the sills and boot floor.
