What to check on this one at 64,000 km
- Timing chain, not a belt, so no scheduled change. A rattle for a second on a cold start points to a stretched chain: listen for it.
- At 64,000 km the schedule has already called for: brake fluid, transmission fluid. Ask to see the bills.
- CVT: listen for a whine as speed rises and feel for a surge or slip under acceleration. Ask when the CVT fluid was last changed; these gearboxes depend on it.
