What to offer
- Dealers who came down on a car like this came down about 2.6%. Ask for a free service, new tyres or the transfer fee instead.
From how far sellers here have actually come down, not a promise. An inspection prices every fault it finds, and that moves a seller further.

What to check on this one at 56,000 km
- Timing chain, not a belt, so no scheduled change. A rattle for a second on a cold start points to a stretched chain: listen for it.
- On an automatic, feel for jerks or slip on a test drive and ask when the transmission fluid was last changed, a rebuild is dear.
